Greetings fellow pilgrims from Mialba,

I have just installed OS X Lion and feared all the rumor control that Gimp will not run on Lion. Pure Hogwash!!! Double dog hog wash!

However, I do have Xcode 4 installed, and that might provide the extra goodies all the claims said were devoid? I simply downloaded the Snow Leopard version (latest) as usual. Opened the download, and in a little while, there was Gimp starting up. Granted, it took so long to show I suspected the worst. So I opened it again, and suddenly I had two Gimps installed and running perfectly.

I immediately imported my screensaver and fixed it in Gimp so now I have something worth staring at.

I love Gimp! Wonderful program that should be mandatory on every personal computer in the World. Punishable by flinging the recalcitrant ones into the heavens to scream for eternity where nobody can hear them!

Peace through manipulation!

Gimp style!

Georg

Welcome to another mac user! I have been tempted to download Lion but have heard that my older iphoto and imovie won't work with it, and I do not want to have to buy upgrades to those programs.

What a witty introduction, and a very cool wallpaper. Thanks for sharing. I miss my Mac sometimes. it was murderiously murdered in a water spilling caper. The criminal was none other than my girlfrind, who drowned the processor using cup-spilling methods and the exhaust fan to get the best of it. Or, perhaps she just accidentally spilled water and it leaked into the fan. Frankly, I can't remember...that day is sort of a blur now. In hindsight, I suppose I shouldn't have left the laptop on the kitchen table while we ate dinner. Hm...

Welcome aboard! Looks like you've started off with a bang. Great job. Looks like the spiderweb is making cracks in the skull. Keep 'em coming, we're always lookin' for fresh ideas and new talent. I think you'll fill the bill nicely. Looking forward to more.
