The windows zip seems to be missing the lib folder as GIMP is asking for libgsl-23.dll.
The install file says to extract to lib folder but there no lib in the zip.
That might be for building/compiling, my problem might be because I am using Partha 2.10.6.

I have both, Gimp 2.10.6 (gimp.org Original version) and Partha's version in my PC. I have one in "Program File (x86)" and the Partha's version in "Program File".

And you're right. Partha's version doesn't have the folder 32, that is where the libgsl-23.dll reside.

What I did to make it work:
1. Copy the folder 32 from the Gimp 2.10.6 (gimp.org Original version) and paste it on the Partha's vesion on the folder gimp (C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.10.6-std/gimp).
2. Create a new folder in the Personal gimp directory: C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\plug-ins and name it "Astronomy".
3. Open the "gimp-plugin-astronomy-0.10". Open the folder "gimp", open each of the folder subfolder, copy and past into the new "Astronomy" folder you just created.
4. Open the Script folder and copy the content, then go to:
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\scripts and paste.
5 Re-start Gimp and the location is: Filters/Astronomy

Hello everyone
I have installed GIMP 2.10.18 on Windows 10 (it is my first installation, no od version then in my computer) and the copied the astronomy plugins and scripts in programme/Gimp/ etc...in the folders .../lib/plugins and .../share/scripts. When starting GIMP four plugin s are not properly started by GIMP with the message "lib-gsl23.dll" missing. I tried to download this dll from the web but got a warning message that this file was infected.
Have you an idea or advices of what to do to make these plugins work ?

Hi ALP73, I know what you mean, I had the same problem. That file got upgraded to lib-gsl24.dll and now
lib-gsl25.dll, back when the new version GIMP 2.10 was created. I took mine from the old version GIMP 2.8 before I upgraded to 2.10 and I place the file where the new. Here is a lib-gsl23.dll copy. Just place it in the folder; C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\bin with the new one and "Astronomy plugin" will work. Good luck and stay safe!

Hello baryah and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately,
this plug-in would need to be compiled for Mac specifically.
AFAIK, this has not been compiled by the creator,
to include a package for Mac OS.

Mac/Installing Plugins

System-wide script-fu scripts are stored in:
/Applications/GIMP.app/Contents/Resources/share/gimp/2.0/scripts/.

Executable and python plugins are located in:
/Applications/GIMP.app/Contents/Resources/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/

User-private plugins are stored under:
$HOME/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.8/plug-ins/.

NOTE: Check "Preferences > Folders" to confirm your plug-ins directory.

The information above,
concerning the installation of plug-ins within Mac OS.
Was obtained from the link below.
