I just checked GIMP.org and there's no word that 2.16 was even available yet.

Installed.
After many uses without errors, I got the first one in the function "browse patterns", activated by clicking on a pattern parameter in a filter.
If someone else has installed it, and if (s)he has a filter with a "browse" patterns parameter (not mine, preferably), could (s)he double-check?

P.S. same kind of error when selecting a gradient or a palette from a filter parameter

Different system, but similar error when trying to select gradient. All plugins seem to be effected.

Code:

attempted to install procedure "temp-procedure-number-1" with invalid parameter name "gradient width".

Apparently the "width" part is invalid.

I can also confirm a bug in Gimp 2.10.16 from gimp.org.

Indeed it's there but still not on GIMP.org's main site. Wonder why they've not updated the website yet? May install it after my weekend shift (next Tuesday); going to see if others experience issues or not. lolol

There is no problems with this case with Windows. I tried it and it's working fine.

I think you are right MareroQ. I was wondering why the newest AppImage is 2.10.17 and not 2.10.16. I guess they are just going to jump over that one. It's not a big issue for me, because I rarely change the default settings on plugins. I'm sure other people will have issues with it however.

I guess people will have to go through the trouble of editing their favorite scripts again.

The underlying real problem was a change in GLIB that stopped accepting property-names including ' ' spaces.
Every plug-in installing procedures whose property-name includes a ' ' has to be changed.

By the way, how does one go about editing scripts to correct this?
