I went to website after receiving this upon opening GIMP. There is no info on the initial page update. I went to the "Mirror page" and I found out the last revision "gimp-2.10.18-setup-2.exe " was posted on 3/24/2020. https://download.gimp.org/mirror/pub/gi ... 0/windows/

TLDR; It's been re-compiled to better cope with very big images. No other features/bug-fixes are included.

I tested this new revision and the selection of palettes, patterns, gradient still don't work. So hopefully by September we get this fix.

Maybe it will be fixed when v2.10.20 comes out. In the meantime the Linux AppImages have the patch and I assume the Windows Portables also have a patch.

I got the notification earlier too (and installed the update). First time I recall getting such a notification with the GIMP. Interesting.
