gald that your new build are ready..as now i may use only a 32bit desktop running xp, so i can't try anything at 64 bit (including my own version that seems fixed now...)

i hope to fix soon...did you already made a 32bit build ?

Hey PC, sorry to hear about your laptop.

Yes, both 32/64 builds are on my website.

Please don't think me rude but I would like to ask, what is the difference between yours and the official 2.8 besides the plugins? Thanks

Nope, I don't think you are rude. They come from the same source.

I started providing builds from 2.7.2 when there were no 64-bit builds that worked for me. Then it folks saw and liked them and so I continue to provide them. I understand my builds and able to help people if they have issues.

Ah thanks...so it's 64bit you are concentrating on?

I ended up providing both. You are welcome to choose the one you want. Either ask questions here or on my website.

are there any 2.8 releases for mac that are all-inclusive...with gmic, py and popular scripts? Something that you just download and start using, (like Partha's 2.7.5 mac version)? I don't think the one on lisade.net is all inclusive but I could be wrong.

2-ton, not yet. I am not releasing it because of the bug you all discovered. We're still trying to solve that. I put a note about this on my website.

A tiny mistake - totally irrelevant, and perhaps only for me...
When can we expect a patch for gimprc - pspi or UserFilter?

How about now? :)

This was being discussed in another thread and so I updated that thread.

Sorry about that.

If you are still interested and can work around the rounded rectangles issue, I will be happy to upload a version for you.

Since I don't use rounded rectangle a lot, an could probably find some way to work around it if necessary, That would be awesome to have a fully loaded 2.8 for mac!

Again, perfectly solved the problem - gimprc works !
Minor comments:
- is further small bug in the Image Properties (in my language - always 5.6 EB ?? )
- Need to add some files - to run some Python plugins - for example:
Indexprint (http://registry.gimp.org/taxonomy/term/160)
Border Line 2 (http://registry.gimp.org/node/24784)

but simply you can add (XP 32 bit):

libglade-2.0-0.dll
libxml2.dll
in c:\Program Files\Gimp-2.8\bin\

glade.pyd
in c:\Program Files\Gimp-2.8\python\Lib\site-packages\gtk-2.0\gtk\

Once again - Thanks Partha.

libxml2-2.dll is already there and so, in my build I should remember to make a copy and rename it libxml.dll.
I will add libglade to the mix since I have that in the next build since it's useful.

Thanks for glade.pyd.

The file size bug is fixed in the viewer and when you save jpegs. Thanks for bringing up the Image Property which I did not fix. Will be fixed in the next update.

Thanks MareroQ.

The actual file that was modified is app/config/gimprc-unknown.c (see the bug fix in bugzilla). However, this changes a whole lot of files during the build process. Unfortunately I didn't keep track of the changed files. You could dump the whole built on the portable and you should be good to go.

I don't know PC.

Samj, would you be able to pick up the latest build? Currently the fix for the image properties is not in the build. I will upload when I identify a more serious bug upstream.

Thanks!
