I just went through 3 versions yesterday. Bevel Reflect Logo wasn't working for me in 2.10.14 so I tried out 2.10.18-setup-1.exe
It didn't work either so I uninstalled that and so I went to 2.10.12
Thankfully that worked without a hitch. I'll be sticking with 2.10.12 until it's all sorted.
Windows 10 64 bit

Must be a Windows thing? BRL worked perfectly in all versions of Gimp I've used.

I totally removed Windows 10 Boot Camp from my Mac, and then decided, due to the new 3D Transform tool, I was going to get GIMP 2.10.18 on my Mac, come hell or high water. I found that MacPorts offered the best hope of completing that task because Home Brew and Fink both resulted in consistent errors. Some 3 hours later, it's built and running. Then, the nightmare of tossing GMIC into the mix, add another hour. It's now working, however, pointed plugins and scripts are throwing constant errors, so my current game plan is to move everything to the GIMP.app in MacPorts and cross my fingers. I'm done with Windows, forever.

Just a suggestion, but you may want to consider running Linux. I've been running Linux for the past 5 years or so and am quite happy as a result. I wouldn't give Windows a second thought. I recently bought a brand new Laptop that came with Win10 on it. The very first thing I did was format the SSD and install Linux on it.

They would have to pay me big money before I ran Windows any more...

I run Linux software on all my laptops (3) Ubuntu and Fedora Workstation. My last job required Windows to access their Portal. My new district (a rural one at that) allows me to use my cellphone via their app. Amazing, how open the school districts are when they're trying to save money. Big cities don't care because they have a large population to maintain their budget.

BRL works for me and I'm running the latest GIMP 64-bit (Win10 64-bit home edition). Only the gradient option doesn't work but I never have used this option in the first place. :)

I'm running Windows since decades, as well as Gimp (always up to date) and G'mic (ditto).
I'm fully satisfied.
I guess -but it's my opinion- that it's really time to stop advertising Linux, as it happens from time to time. Every user is an adult here...

True, and everyone is entitled to make a suggestion, which is exactly what I did. If it weren't for Linux, I would've never learned to use Gimp. Gimp happened to come with my Linux distro and I decided to learn it as a result.

and not to forget ... GIMP was originally a LINUX programme.

...first car was produced by Carl Benz.
Should we "recommend" or "suggest" every motorist to buy a Mercedes-Benz?
...
why not?

My personal choice to stop using Windows wasn't to divide people into OS camps. Anyone can use whatever they choose. Although, test driving other platforms is always a good idea, if only for enlightenment. Free is WIN-WIN.
