I uploaded a new build that probably fixes this bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=669818.

If the file size display of 1.3G bothers you, please uninstall my previous build, download the new version and install.

Thanks,
Partha

Just noticed your entry at bugzilla Partha. Kudos to you; they ought to hire you over there. lol

Now if only the lag when color management bug can get patched; the PSPI/User Filter problem too. Then life would be a joy indeed. :)

Partha,
I was just wondering, since I didn't see it anywhere here or on your site, whether you have a list of the plugins that you include in the useful plugins folder?
Thanks

I wondered about that too. It would be nice to know what they are so we don't dupe.

I've attached a zip of all of the screen captures. There 184 of them, too many to add to one big file and at the moment I don't have a working copy of gimp on this computer.
I do have the following to add that may or may not help:
All the dlls that it insists aren't there are there.
Reinstalling will not solve the problem.
I tried restarting and it didn't change.
I tried registering some of the worst offenders via regsvr, and it still doesn't see them.
I can't help but wonder hat I should have installed but don't.
Sorry I had to send them in a zipped file.

Gms9810,

I tried the official release before I tried yours. I didn't get as many errors but got a dozen or so. I removed the 'official ' release with revo, whih usually does a good job. I'll remove it again and pay particular attention to getting everything then reinstall yours again.

I hate to say this, but you are mixing and matching. :(

My build will never ask for intl.dll which is pretty much the error I see in the first 100 of the jpgs.

Here is my guess. You installed a Gimp build that was not mine. You didn't uninstall correctly? Now some of the leftover plugins from the old build are asking for DLLs from the old install and looking for DLLs which no longer exit.

Please clean out your previous Gimp install. Download my build and install that. My build does not put any DLL in any place other than its own bin directory.

Hope that helps. If not, just PM me. :)

We can solve this.

Thanks,
Partha

gald that your new build are ready..as now i may use only a 32bit desktop running xp, so i can't try anything at 64 bit (including my own version that seems fixed now...)

i hope to fix soon...did you already made a 32bit build ?

Hey PC, sorry to hear about your laptop.

Yes, both 32/64 builds are on my website.

Please don't think me rude but I would like to ask, what is the difference between yours and the official 2.8 besides the plugins? Thanks

Nope, I don't think you are rude. They come from the same source.

I started providing builds from 2.7.2 when there were no 64-bit builds that worked for me. Then it folks saw and liked them and so I continue to provide them. I understand my builds and able to help people if they have issues.

Ah thanks...so it's 64bit you are concentrating on?

I ended up providing both. You are welcome to choose the one you want. Either ask questions here or on my website.

are there any 2.8 releases for mac that are all-inclusive...with gmic, py and popular scripts? Something that you just download and start using, (like Partha's 2.7.5 mac version)? I don't think the one on lisade.net is all inclusive but I could be wrong.

2-ton, not yet. I am not releasing it because of the bug you all discovered. We're still trying to solve that. I put a note about this on my website.

A tiny mistake - totally irrelevant, and perhaps only for me...
When can we expect a patch for gimprc - pspi or UserFilter?

How about now? :)

This was being discussed in another thread and so I updated that thread.

Sorry about that.
