I just saw an ad on Facebook for a Gimp 2015 download and was wondering if it might be legit. Has anyone else heard of this yet? I downloaded the setup but waiting to install it since the ad is the only reference I have found so far.

I am kidding. There is no such creature. You can get the Libre Gimp 2015 calendar though.

Currently, GIMP is in the 2.8x stage; soon (crossing my fingers) it will be in the 2.10x stage. GIMP's never named by year yet and doubt it ever will. Be afraid; be very afraid of this one Charlie (unless it's for a downloadable calendar as Partha suggested; lol).

I would not trust that GIMP-2015 dl myself. Where did you see the download for this? Do you have a link?

Don't touch it. It's either a ripoff or a plain old malware trap. Scammers frequently use freeware programs + year to set up scams charging you for "support" that you probably never get. IrfanView was a big target some years ago.

I have been using SamJ's 2.8.15 portable for months an have had no problems at all with it. It's also very fast). There is a link in one of the threads here.
