FYI Partha has posted new builds on his website for windows and MAC including some portable version. Especially thankful for the 2.9-64bit portable.

Thanks for the heads up, I want the new mcgimp with the newer Gmic...but darn it, I forgot how to remove the old one to add the new one. I think I just drag McGimp out of my apps into the trash, but leave the myname folders alone, but I'm not positive if it's that easy or if I have to go on a file hunt to find stragglers.

what is the difference between Gimp-2.9-64bit-portable.exe and Gimp-2.9.1-64bit.exe?

As for a portable version, I think it ignores all the other DLL/EXE on my local disk first.

But, on my PC, the python-fu menu item always(I mean, for Gimp-2.9-64bit-portable.exe , Gimp-2.9.1-64bit.exe and my own built gimp) disappear, which is caused (I think) by DLL version conflict( but it is too hard to find which DLL is bad, any hit?)

got the newest McGimp...for OS X users, just remove the old mcgimp from applications and download the new one. On my computer, all I do with the download zip is to click open and it self-installs itself into applications. The gimp itself is the same version, but the G'Mic is the updated one so you can get all the newest filters. I think it's up to 410 or some such number.
