Hi Samj.

Thank You so much for the 32 bit version (the only one available on the web).

Can You include (in the next version?):
- python in the MSC version,
- addition TLS/SSL support [glib-networking] http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15256
source: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/basicnet/glib-networking.html
- add missing icons (omitted from the source:Page Setup,Help,Context Help).

For information: for Vista Home Edition (Service pack 1) gmic_gimp_qt.exe does not work with the version QT 5.8 (only with QT 5.6 http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=15330&start=120#p213135)

Merry Christmas from GimpChat to You.

Does the G'MIC plug-in work for GIMP 2.9.8 ? It seems a few people have experienced problems with this new GIMP development version when trying to add the G'MIC plug-in to it.
Interested by any feedback on that.

Probably only as a curiosity:
For the GIMP 2.9.9 version (compiled by Samji from QT 5.8), GMIC 2.1.6 compiled with QT 4.6 works very well (for old computers with XP and Vista systems).

This from a question asked on another forum. The Windows 64 bit Gimp 2.9.8 from http://www.gimp.org runs the GTK plugin but not the QT version. https://i.imgur.com/omaB0hk.jpg

I advised using the zip version, putting it to a convenient folder rather than the Gimp profile (C:\Users\your-name\Appdata\Roaming\GIMP\2.9\plug-ins) then adding to the plugins path.

No such troubles with linux
This Gimp 2.9.9 (kubuntu 16.04) and the QT plugin compiled for 2.9
So far no problems https://i.imgur.com/Y1rCh7O.jpg

The new version Samj of 2017.12.22 already supports glib-networking.

Several proposals for the Gimp 2.9.9 Win 32bit version:

- complementing the missing icons in the Legacy motif (in the annex);
- a changed version of the Aurora-Midnight theme (version 0.2 highlights icons in blue - in the annex);
- files type *.a *.la and can be removed (are unnecessary in Windows),
- older plugins need an older libglib library.I've tested a few old plugins - most of them have an icon display error (but they work). To solve the problem, please add the older version of libglib (after a few tests I used libglib 2.48.1 in the directory where these plugins are located - in the annex);
- You can add scrollbars for script-fu and python-fu (in the annex).

Will this work with my 64 bit version of gimp 2.10.8 if I put it in the 32 bit plugin folder.
