Well for Windows, 32 bit,
doesn't require a install, just unzip and if you wish make a desktop shortcut for "gimprun .exe

In windows 7 unzip where you like except in Program Files or Program Files (x86)..you may also use as portable

python support is already included,as the most recent version GAP, MathMap and GMIC and a large collection of excellent script for animations and animated Logo (from Fencepost Saulgoode, LIMN, GnuTux,Graechan..)
and a few other for comix/ sketch/lineart and colors effect (Examulko ,jonh stipe ,icci...)

All the changes respect to last Gimp portable from Partha are in the.gimp folder (if you delete that you revert to the partha 2.7.5 build, )

ah i almost forgot added support for pdf, to export animation in flash (swf) (and several other format as webp , jpegxr, open raster etc

and a bit more gradients ,patterns (icluding all OpenOffice patterns..more exactly all the LibreOffice patterns)gradient and brush...and also some curve presets (to simulate old movie or crossprocessing) a

For any code that is part of your package but not included as source code in the package, you should provide links on your Sourceforge page to where the user can download that source code. This is required by Sourceforge for all compiled code posted on their site (and also required by most of the licensing under which the programs are distributed).

Yes sure i am giving a look now to the documentation , i must add a read me ...almost ready but i need a nap

About source code all changes were done to a binary level on the base of the portable version,so the core is exactly that of gimp as from last git.

everything added is in separated folders inside the .gimp user folder (more exactly its correspondent in a portable architecture ) and are script, python plugin a few other C plugins and then brushes pattern and alike that have no a source code but anyway require link and credits

but sure i will add that too i am working on it

My first idea was to share the link only with PM till all the doc and code were organized...but then i thought to share also on the GC and is not a official release...anyway i hope to fix everything in 24/48 hours

maybe i was not clear on one point
it is assembled not compiled (obviously all the various component were compiled , but by different persons and in different times

the only relevant change in the gimp code is on the gimprc file, edited to organize inside the user folder a system of subfolders where store all the 3d party addon, keeping them separated from the rest

Except for gimprc no changes in the gimp code,no even change to the codes of the third party script and plugin included all the changes were done to binary level to avoid any risk to bloat the gimp code,(that must remain the most simple and compact possible )so the changes are only done at binary level when packaging (NOT compiling but just compressing in a zip)

Glad you appreciated, i am still fighting to prepare and upload docs, and make available also the single part (GAP MATHMAP etc)..oh well they were already available but a bit hard to find now should be easier

Is it just 32-bit PC? Don't believe there is a 64-bit compile for Mathmap (and I'm still waiting for one). :)

On my PC i have ready also at 64 bit
BUT i was waiting Partha he was interested to compile GAP at 64 bit, and i have already compiled but the 2.6 version not more recent version from git as that included in GimpVideo at 32 bit

And also MathMap is still missed, it seems really hard to compile the 32 bit version, ( we lose contact with Mr Fluffles/Commodor Guff that somehow did ) even less hope for a 64 bit build

oh well there is always hope but just to name a problem mathmap seems to require a totally peculiar building environment and tools

a pity also because a couple of issues may be greatly improved before recompiling:
first the preview is too little , the size is hardcoded and so may be modified, i would at least double the actual size.

and there is a too hidden supersampling option switched off by default
supersampling give a much better quality output (at price of speed, but if difference in quality is high difference in speed seems much less perceptible ), could be enabled by default

And of course may be included all the additional filter created in the meanwhile, the same i included in Gimp Video and in the repack of Mathmap 1.3...5ome are really good

I agree i have tried to compile 32 bit mathmap twice and it does indeed require a very particular building environment.

Since 1.3.5 was released nearly three months after the patch, perhaps it already incorporates it.

I am uploading also a 64 bit version
Alas will be without Mathmap and with GAP 2.6 instead then 2.7

(I still hope that somebody may be able to compile MM at 64 bit, in case i will update the binary )

Downloaded the package and it starts with a lot of "exception processing messages....." errors. Going to hit every time "continue" Gimp starts.
Also after adding the Indexprint and Lineborder-2 plugin both don't work.

My system: XPpro SP3 32bits

Line Border and Index Print both require Glade to be installed PyGTK with Glade that is.

I know but I have installed PyGTK with Glade bindings. Installation of Glade is not necessary.

Both works flawless on Gimp 2.6.11 but how to install it on Gimp 2.7.5??

did you start from gimprun.exe ?
Do not start from gimp.exe !

And i have no clear what you mean for errors i tested well also in xp i never see error, there are "warning" that are a different beast but if you don't modify the preference closing the error console they should not disturb (they should be visible only in the error console tab)

And what you mean to click continue ?...i can't see any "continue" to click

Are problems during loading ?

anyway if you get any error please post the exact error messages (or even a screenshoot ) so they will be fixed

About the "warning" will be warning till all the script and plugin will be ported to gimp 2.8, and that now is impossible because gimp 2.8 did not exist yet and plugin/script developer prefer not update before all the planned changes will be definitive

But anyway warning are totally harmless (and they may silently redirected to the error console..that just need to be left open) if errors will be fixed but to fix i have to see the error messages

Starting Gimp will give several times a "exception message" warning/error popup with a long hexadecimal code. A screenshot will be posted here.

Popup has three buttons. One of them is called "continue".

No except I became crazy from the starting screen you made. ;)

Gimp 2.7.4 portable is working for me (downloaded from Partha's site) without any trouble except Indexprint is not working either. The reason I asked for Glade bindings is that I cannot install the normal Gimp with Glade bindings: company policy :(. So I'm searching for a portable Gimp compiled with Python and Glade bindings so I can run Indexprint to archive thoussand's of images. Oh and yes I can use Contactsheet but is not capable to check filetypes, no title and I have no plans to develop Contactsheet any further. Contactsheet is in bug mode only.
