i get a loading error for "sharpfeather.exe" for a missing dll, same for refocus it

I don't like much the 2 additional menus, Ghost and Python-Fu menus, just now i am trying to get rid of it editing the scripts registration path

Everything else seems working perfectly..humm maybe not the web browser it give up with a critical error

But about the web Browser maybe will be nice change default for preferences/help to web browser and then include your CHM help

It works pretty well and is much more updated then the alternative from Gimp for Windows, that is still the help for 2.6, also on Windows chm help are easier to navigate

Web browser :
The Gimp "web browser" must be inhibited via the "Preferences" menu.
At home I have no critical error

DLL :
Some plug-ins compiled into ancient environments must be compiled again.
(You can send me the sources to see what I can do)

2 additional menus :
I use these menus for my tests. You can destroy the script-fu and .py files from directory ....\pref_1

64 bits :
I recommend using the 64-bit version which is substantially corrected (compared to the version on SourceForge).

yesterday i may have done some errors ,i restarted afresh till now everything is fine

Samj i tried again this time i didn't change anything i just try to load from demarrer_gimp.bat



I am quite perplex of the error message because that is a path for a folder where is my previous copy of your portable, and could not be a coincidence

anyway i got this same message also using french, spanish and english bat .

If you want to extract in a directory containing spaces, you must use ".bat" files attached.
In principle you should extract the archive in the root of a hard drive or the root of a USB key.
Extract in a directory containing spaces may affect the operation of the whole.

You can change your .bat files (Photocomix..... .bat) by modifying the start of the command line start /D "%~dp0"
This allows you to associate an image file (xcf, xcf.gz, etc.) to a .bat file

I'm looking for an updated version of the refocus-it (iterative refocus) plug-in.
I'm already using this GIMP version: GIMP-PC_Lab.2_8_2-64bits-R6!!
But I found the refocus-it have a problem, it only uses 1 core! The plugin is so old that it wasn't prepared to take the new approach of multicores, instead of higher CPU frequencies.

We need to refine this program! At first, make it use all cores! Optimize it.
Then, it would be really interesting if we could create an vector path, and it uses this vector path to refocus. Don't need to be that smart first.

I belive the version i installed is the most recent , but you are right the plugin is really slow i was even wandering if remove it for that very reason

About deblurring i was experimenting a new tool (see Oregonian link, the windows binary is on https://github.com/Y-Vladimir/SmartDeblur/downloads ) that as now is available as standalone

I have some questions regarding your versions:

1) As I'm running a 64 bits windows, I have downloaded the 64 and the 32 versions to see if there was any visible difference, as it feels no different to me, I'd like to know what were the pros and cons, stability, performance and such.

2) do I have to launch with demarrer_gimp.bat every time ?

3) if yes how should I use the features provided by maringouin ?
