Hi all!
Ok, just a couple of quick notes. The
Libre Graphics Meeting 2014 is being held next week in Leipzig, Germany (at the University of Leipzig). The GIMP team will be there for their usual meetings, and the program has many great topics being discussed, so if you're able, come on out and attend! It's free!
If you want a little more motivation, the GIMP team has graciously invited me out to attend! So I'll be
conducting a photowalk before the meeting on Tuesday (April 1), meeting at the venue around 10:00 (am). If you can make it, consider
registering beforehand so we can plan accordingly.
I am hoping to leave a little after 10:00, and to stroll through various places in the city over to the "Musik Viertel", lunch along the way, and finish up at some point in the afternoon (or early evening depending on inspiration).
I will also be
holding a workshop on Saturday (April 5) at 12:30 with Tobias (darktable) on the use of F/OSS in a photography workflow. Should be a fun workshop! Of course, plenty of GIMP will be covered...
Still need motivation?
David Tschumperlé , Jérome Boulanger, and myself will be presenting on "
A 2012-2013 retrospective of the G'MIC project : New features from artists/developers collaborations"! A presentation on G'MIC and the projects interactions with artists to produce some really fantastic filters and results (I know there are plenty of users right here on the forum who will be mentioned!)
So, if you're close or can, consider coming out to meet up with us!
