Expanding a circle

Tue Apr 04, 2017 8:37 am

GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Linux
GIMP Experience: Intermediate Level

I want to start with a circle and move out adding leaves, petals, other circles, etc., like the picture below. The problem is getting 'scalloped' edges around the circle. Up till now I've taken a half moon shape and added each addition by hand. Is there a plugin or directions somewhere that will make this laborious, tedious labor any easier? I saw a plugin for Photoshop that will do what I want but it won't work on Gimp. Boo ... This is for making flowers, mandalas, etc.

Thanks!

The Clone Layer Tool looks great for what I'm trying to do but unfortunately it simply won't work on my Gimp 2.8. Loads but doesn't appear in the Layers menu the way it's supposed to.

64 bit linux perhaps - try the attached. (compiled it in an AntiX VM)

I remember this plugin as not particularly easy to use.

This in Kubuntu 16.04

attached plugin, remember to unzip it. If you need a 32 bit version, let me know & I will have a go ;)
