Regarding Colors->Levels, could someone please explain:
* what "clamping" (input and output) does?
* why sometimes the "Levels" are shown as a range from 0-255 and other times one from 0-100 (and others, if I'm not imagining it, from 0-1)?

Thank you.

- "Clamping" is making sure that values are within a given range, usually by wrapping out-of-range values to values at the end of the range (I assume that in modern Gimp, you can sometimes have values that are outside of the channel range)
- When you are in 8-bit integer, the display uses the legacy 0-255 range, but in other cases it uses a 0-100% range (with decimals...) (because using the actual 0-1 range could be seen as a bit too technical for most).
