I just checked and I don't have Layerfx 2.8.py installed. And I haven't made any changes to my computer recently |

I meant are you using layerfx.py or layerfx.2.8.py, as layerfx.2.8.py is a bit buggy

I did just notice that I have LayerFx.py in my script folder and plugins folder. Should I delete one and if so which one? |

LayerFx.py is a plugin and should be in your plugins folder, layerfx.scm though is a script and should be in your scripts folder and having both is not a problem

I don't recommend Layfx-2.8 either, it is one big pain, unless you want to work with all those groups of layers. |

Is it in your jeanniem\plug-ins\ and make sure you reboot your Gimp |

It is in the right folder and I have rebooted Gimp but it still is not working. |

Check the properties of layerFx.py to make sure the file permission is executable. |

You don't need permissions with Windows, just linux. |

Do any of your python plugins work? Try making a new document any size. Go to filters>render>clouds>fog. Just wait for the dialog to appear and click ok and see if it works. Foggify is a default GIMP PYTHON plugin and if it doesn't work then your \lib\gimp\2.0\python OR if 64 bit install GIMP 2\32\lib\gimp\2.0\python folder may be corrupted. |
