Elsamuko scripts

Wed Jan 08, 2020 4:21 am

GIMP Version: 2.10.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: New User

:wvy
I saw 2 tutorials indicating the scripts of Elsamuko: National geography and Lomo:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEzHnO2xOiQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNbGkHY2Dns

and nobody seems to have problems with these 2 scripts but I have error messages
that I don't know how to interpret.
I tested with the 2 download links:

https://sites.google.com/site/elsamuko/gimp
https://github.com/elsamuko/gimp-elsamuko
thinking that there may be differences but the same problem.

I added a white mask but still the same message!

The error does not mean that YOU have to add a layer mask, but that the syntax of that statement in the script is obsolete.

Ok dinasset
but why those who made the tutorials and those who follow them obviously have no problem?
Is it due to the portable version?

Do these work? I've changed the paths to Filters/Artistic.

If you like the Lomo effect, I have ported a couple of those
from Alexia Death / Avi Bercovich

dinasset:I don't know the "lomo" effect, I've never used it and I don't know if it will interest me, ;) it was mentioned in the videos and that's why I wanted to test it.

As I stated, for Gimp 2.10.14 (not gimp 2.10.12) and checked the adjustments to the scripts.

I had tested your 2 scripts with samj 2.10.14 and I just started again with your parameters (and others too) and I always have for lomo this:

and for national Geography:

"ALL-HUES" could be officially "HUE-RANGE-ALL" now. But my 2.10.14 accepts both and I see that you aren't running an "official" build...

Edit: Your other problems definitely hint that SamJ's builds don't support the deprecated values (while the official ones do).

ofnuts, I use the version downloaded here:

As Nidhogg's NG works, I can at least test this one ;)

Yes, but you can't use many old scripts without having to update them (or get them updated for you).

You're right, ofnuts, but ultimately it is not vital for me and there are so many other scripts to explore including your own. ;)

Mine will possibly have the same problem... You are restricting yourself to scripts/plugins that have been written/updated since 2.10 is out.
