Im working a project, at some point 2 lines 1 px in hight was added to the bottom of the image.
this is to be a repeating pattern, and it really stands out. how can I remove this line from the bottom of the image.
in the image its the brown line at the bottom.

I got something similar yesterday. I used the rectangle select tool to select the whole image minus the line at the bottom. Select 'Float' and then look at the size of the floating selection by right-clicking Scale Layer.
Copy this to a new image of the exact dimensions you saw above.
This was the only way I found to get rid of it.
You maybe able to just Scale the Layer up a bit to cover the line but this changes the original image.

The colour blend was my first effort..the problem is the image had multiple colours along the same line/bottom.
the image selection is difficult, this image is huge (133"x20").
this there a way to shrink the canvas by 1 px along the bottom?

Yes, do Image -> Canvas size and change the height.
(Then if you want do Layer -> Layer to image size).
