Text along a ring

Hello all,

I have been trying to create text in ring shape (I have attached an example photo of the effect I'm looking to create).

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way to make the text curve around the ring properly.
I have used text along path, however, this does not fix perspective. If I use the perspective tool first, I can't curve text correctly.
Has anyone else tried this or found a solution? I've tried curve bend and wave filters but it just doesn't match up, the cage transform heavily distorts the text layer and also doesn't really match up.

I've been stuck on this for the last few weeks without any progress.
Any help that could be offered would be greatly appreciated.

Create your text, and then use Filters>Map>Map object and map to a cylinder.

You can use Filters > Map > Map Object in Cylinder mode.

Try this> Filters> distorts> curve bend

Dear Everyone who replied,

Thanks very much - I tried mapping to a cylinder, however, I've not used this before, so it didn't really work, likely this is due to my inexperience.

I've ended up doing ALOT of trial and error with the curve bend (which just about works).

After mapping to a cylinder and before you click on ok, you may need to look at the orientation.
