Wrong Print Size

Fri Jan 08, 2021 10:18 pm

GIMP Version: 2.10
Operating System: Mac OS
OS Version: 10.15
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

Heloo Everyone!

Every time I go to print my print comes out about 2 inches bigger.
I have tried to scale it but I get one side right and the other is too short.
I have checked the image print size and it is the correct size
I have exported it to PDF and that makes it even bigger.
I have tried converting it to points and that doesn't work

Any help would be appreciated cause I am about to pull my hair out.
thanks

Can you screenshot your print menus on the MacOS? (Including preferences menu) Clearly, as is almost always the case, a checkbox gets missed, and causes multiple printing problems. In some cases, resorting to the printer's default printing options will resolve the print size issue. It's not a slam-dunk scenario for everyone since multiple printers are involved.

Otherwise, what are the hard facts? actual image size in pixels, print definition, print size on paper?

Using the same operating system here so lets talk...I always save as .png for starters...but also..if you are scaling correctly using either layer or image in the menu at the top, then you probably havent got the scale tool locked. If it is locked then it will scale to the correct proportions...if that makes sense!
