Thanks in advance. It was created by Graechan, I think
Much better if it was a plug-in. ;)

If your using the Portable version, it's probably that. This is using the GIMP original version from gimp.org

I can confirm this as well in Windows 10 64 bit. I ran the script without changing any settings and it worked fine for me.

Thanks Rod, for checking it.
I must have a problem because it doesn't work for me.
I don't know what the problem is, I get this message in errors.

Nice, Jappaloe, I like your result and typography.

Looks like you are missing the old (GIMP 2.8.xx) version of bumpmap.

Issabella can you try this attached version for me? Make sure you keep the old one on your desktop.

If the attached scm doesn't work remove it replace it with the one on your desktop and unzip the attached bumpmap executable to your plugins folder and restart Gimp.

EDIT- SCM does not work so it has been removed. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused others.
Downloading and installing the attached plugin will work with the 3d-Wood script if your 3D-Wood script doesn't work.

For me, it works but it looks flat. It doesn't have the bevel like Rod's image does. The version of the script I'm using is the second version.

I use too many Linux distro, each have different Gimp versions with different compilation... is my problem.

Use this version http://gimpchat.com/download/file.php?id=61185, works in all other Gimp: 2.10.22/28/32 (Debian, MxLinux, Manjaro) and 2.99.10/12

I used Rod's version and the updated bump map plugin.

I know it does. However, when I ran it on GIMP 2.10.32 on my Windows machine which uses windows 10, the image that the script put out looked flat. For my machine some scripts and plugins tend to do that and I have no idea why.

Hi Mackenzie! vitforlinux fixed the plugin, you don't need the old "bump-map64.exe". If you want the plugin to work, you have to get rid of the old "bump-map64.exe". The "3D WOOD 299.scm" won't work as long if you have the old bumpmap plugin in your GIMP Profile: C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\plug-ins. That been said, if you have plugins in your system (the one that I have written and other third party plugins), they need the old bumpmap plugin in order to work. I'm going to have to fix all my plugins that require the old plugin in the same way that vitforlinux fixed the 3D Wood.
I hope this explanation work for you.

vitforlinux wrote:Have you tried removing the old bumpmap plugin?

In bumpmap one of the values has gone from a maximum of 255 to 1, and when I fix a script I make this change to allow it to work on current Gimp versions and on 2.99, so the old bumpmap plugin receives too low values.

Best wishes.

I sent you a PM with this:
Thank you so much for this. I going to use this part of the "Bumpmap"function in my plugins from now on, so the users don't have to use the old bumpmap plugin.
Ti ho mandato un mp con questo:
Grazie mille per questo. D'ora in poi utilizzerò questa parte della funzione "Bump Map" nei miei plug-in, quindi gli utenti non devono utilizzare il vecchio plug-in bump map.
