Sorry Krikor.
Made additional tests and you are right, detected that the last step (filling remaining areas)in many cases produces a wrong result (fills everything).
Removed this last step (and made some other change) and it works, but
in any case it does not work with images having transparent areas. If you are still willing to do another test, please use the attached

Made some other change, it should work with transparent areas too now.
Mon Oct 07, 2019 12:21 am
Example:
Source:
- WithTranspEyes_source.png (55.95 KiB) Viewed 1137 times
Outcome:
- WithTranspEyes_outcome.png (61.82 KiB) Viewed 1137 times
(as usual, the transparent area -the eyes- "seem" white here, but they are transparent)

I used your script, Dinasset. It's quick and very effective. Thank you so much.

Thanks for testing, Issabella !

DIEGO_RENDER_Filling.zip
Hello Dinasset. Your multifilling works, but it doesn´t have the pattern option. Are you thinking about introducing that?
it would be great.
Thanks a lot

Wow!
Now it's very good!
Running almost 100% as expected. Only the gradient function doesn't comply with the script proposal. It isn't generating gradients, nor is it using the colors of the selected gradient.
But there has already been a huge breakthrough in this version, with the Colors and Palettes function working perfectly.
Che bella sceneggiatura, mamma mia! Grazie Dinasset!

Thanks Krikor, for the detection of the wrong gradient sample selection.
Here the amended version.

Regido, are you asking for filling using various patterns? (i.e. each area showing a different pattern, not a different flat colour?)
I could add it, maybe tomorrow, it this is what you want to get.

Regido, I didn't see your reply (yet), but in any case I prepared the additional option "fill with random patterns".
Here the enhanced version:
and here an example (using my sets of patterns):

Thanks a lot diego that was the thing i was looking for. I have a question. How do i select the folder with the patterns inside?
thanks in advance and keep up the awesome work, this is great

Patterns are selected by pattern name (not by folder name), so to access a complete set you have to have all patterns inside the set having a commong string.
Just to start, if you do not have a tremendous amount of patterns, let blank (as default) and all patterns are used randomly.
If you are organized by folders having a common string for the pattern, use the common string part; for instance, I have a lot of patterns starting with the string FPSnew, so I can ask to use those randomly just entering FPSnew (upper/lower case doesn't matter)

I have a lot of patterns series.
I attach one of mine (Animals).
All the names have the string "anim", so you may enter 'anim' when launching the filter

Here a resulting outcome

just to try...

PS: my patterns sets available to be used are "active" in the pattern folder of my Gimp,
look:

Hello Diego i just want to give you a personal thumbs up for your great work.
I have a suggestion that i think it could be a great addition to your amazing plugin.
it would be great if you could make something like this.
Imagine having already a produced image with shapes filled with plain colors (no gradients) like the
ones you create in your posted samples. (max of 10 ten colors for example)
Then depending on the filling color of those shapes define one pattern.
I don´t know if this is too difficult to make but i think this would give an amazing flexibility to your plugin.
This way you will be able to have a more "controlled" kind of results.
Keep up the good work

This is a different area of application, it's one closer to what I do with many "variations" on an image; if you followed me on GC, my biggest area of interest is manipulating photos thru:
- reduce the image to a given number of colour areas ("posterize")
- fill each area with a texture having an appropriate hue
This is in the area of "artistic" processing.
The "filling" is more a "divertissement", where the goal is playing with randomness and see what can come out

I understand.
Quick question.
When using my own patterns even if they are not tranpsarent the white background of them dissapear. It´s therey any form to prevent this?
thanks a lot

Actually, after having executed the chosen option for filling, the filter replaces the remaining white areas with the gray: replace the gray with white in the parameter panel.

These are my results using gradients and patterns. Only a very few white zones left without filling.
Thank you Dinasset. A good work!
