Why did you put gmic_gimp_qt in the "Temporary" folder? It should go in the "Plug-ins" folder. Click the + sign to the left of folders and scroll down to the Plug-ins folder.

Apart from that, I wonder if the
gmic_gimp_qt is the version from the previous gimp 2.8 installation. If it is, not going to work anyway.
The current 64 bit gmic_gimp_qt installer correctly finds the user profile and puts all the files in its own folder in 'plug-ins' (as it should) Nothing else to do.

I installed just about everything in my new gimp 2.10.10
now i want to make a test image and go to my layer effects,as with my previous version 2.8 do i - layer - layer effects - bevel and embos or shadows or other effect possibilities.but my layer efects cannot be found in my 2.10.10

normally I do this with map-bump map, but now apparently that does not work, I may be doing something wrong because it is a different layout than that of 2.8

Remember,
if you have those executables in the plug-ins folder they wont be found by GIMP-2.10 unless you place them in a folder named as themselves for instance, voronoi-path.exe needs to be in a folder named voronoi-path and so forth.

Bump map works fine, you need to assign the bump map image layer. As for Layer Effects, use the python version and put it in the plug-ins folder.

Sure. Here you can see all my executables are within their own folders inside the plug-ins folder.
