Wallace, I tried now just very quick both the brushes. Brush 1 on flower and brush 2 on ground and "grass".
It works very well.
Is there an option to change it to 1 color also, i.e. green for leaves and another color for other single parts?
Maybe a setting needed? As in your GIMP CHAT gold look example above?
My knowledge of GIMP is very low as I am not using it much.
I like the directional effect it gives. It's very great brushes.

The color can be desaturated.
Which is what I did.

Then used Colorize to add back some color.

Wallace, thank you for showing me these options.
I need to learn along more and the only way is practicing.
I need to try also the options of the brush as these brush options I saw on the left side panel.
But I have no experience with layers and can't see these layers on right side.
Maybe I do it wrong?
I think mine is one layer why the whole image change color.

Once you have desaturated it.
Go to Color > Colorize and play with the
Hue, Saturation and lightness sliders.

Wallace,
Here I played with the brush and this is the result with a clipart from Pixabay.
This is just a sample and if I want to do finer things, I need to use postwork.
I really like this brush and the options with it.
