Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Windows 7
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level



How to get the black theme for GIMP, i tried everything but didn't work for me. :(

There are a few themes here with instructions....don't think there is a black one but there are dark colours....hope this helps

my problem was i didnt restart i just when i click theme it won't change, but i saw i must restart
lol now iam feeling dumb. :D

Parthas compiled versions have a darker default theme also.

You mean, I can download GIMP from there, and the themes already in it, or i should download the themes from there ? :D

You can also download this theme package and place it in your Gimp folder. It has several light and dark themes to choose from attachments below

Unpack and place the themes folder into your Gimp 2.xx folder. Open Gimp > Edit > preferences > theme and you will see the themes. Just click on them to see them and or select what you want.

Saif, yes, you can download Gimp and plugins useful for photography from my website. The dark theme is my default.
