I am looking for the script that saulgoode made about a year ago. If you have a background and you want to stretch it there is a script here somewhere but I forget what it is called and where to find it. I used it before to make the background on a portrait larger.... Anyone out there know where I can find it or what it is called? thanks.

I have relocated extend layer to my "official" script repository.

http://chiselapp.com/user/saulgoode/rep ... tend-layer

If you have Liquid Rescale installed then it can do pretty much everything my script can do (and ever so much more).

The script was missing when I visited chiselapp, Saul. Unless of course, you added it just now.

thank you so much guys. It was the extend layer script by saulgoode that I was looking for. I found it does a very good job. Photomaster, I downloaded and installed your gimp-liquid too. It looks interesting but I don't know how to use it... I will try to find some instructs for it. Thank you also, Mahvin......

Liquid Rescale: I joined the sizing chain first and then made the width what I wanted it to be - the rest was default settings. As you can see, kitty gained a bit of weight in it.

Image

Saulgoode's script: I made the canvas size the size I wanted the end result and centered the image in the canvas size. Kitty didn't gain weight like in the liquid rescale. I like the end results better.

Very nice job O.......
Here is one I did a couple of years ago. My friends had to put their cat down so I made a pic for them. I had to add a lot to the top of the image cuz the picture ended just above the cats ears. I used the Saulgoodge script to add more background to the top so I could put some text in.

EDIT: if you look closely, you can see where the new part of the background starts. It is vertical, whereas the existing part of the picture below, the background looks more horizontal. I don't know if that part of script can be fixed or not. Still looks great to me.
"Very nice script Saul."

I probably did mine wrong in liquid rescale.

Here's a website about the Liquid Rescale plugin that has tutorials, etc. on it.

I just noticed you actually found the Liquid Rescale website. I was going to mention the need to mask the kitty out to tell LR to ignore stretching it. :)

That using the script with nothing selected.
If there is a selectrion the script does something very different,
you may try just paste your original on a bigger transparent layer, do alpha to selection to unselect the transparency and run the script

(if i am not confusing with a similar sg script i can't check now i only base on my memory )

I made a mistake when I updated my script which could cause some layers to be made hidden when there was no selection. I have corrected the error and updated the webpage. My apologies.
