hi this is joy here.

very first post of mine. thanx in advance for help.

straight to the point.

i want to create a subtly pressed button effect for my image, i am not that much new nor basic, still in between that. so pardon me for that.

the effect i want to create is attached in image with this post. the buttom i am talking about is music button which has really authentic effect that it always looked like it's down below the level from the main image. i exactly want to learn how to do it.

step by step tutorial like help will be very helpful

You create a "ring" selection (for instance, start with Circle selection, then use Select>Border), and fill it with a gradient, with a dark tone on top a an a light tone on bottom (vertical, or diagonal). If you want to be fancy, you can also slightly shift down what is at the bottom to give it a bit of perspective.
