Text from big to small or small to big

Hi

Would you please tell me how can I do this or where to look for the specific terms to make this happen.
I want to write a word that starts with big letters and gradually is ending in small letters, from the front to the deep inside; straight or like a wave.
Also, I'd like to write a text, like in the Star Wars generic, where the text is coming in from the inside to the front.

I've uploaded an image with Star Wars.

About your second question:
once you have created your text in the standard format, use the "perspective tool" to transform it in a text seen in perspective.

Even better it you do Layer>Text to path and apply the perspective to the path

That is very good, but as you gain experience you will find better ways.

So you are finding out that their are a number of ways to accomplish something in Gimp - which is very good. You seem to be making good progress already. There are many techniques that I have still to explore - that's part of the fun!
