Hi Gimp Users

I have a new Chromebook computer.

I need your help.

Thanks

I didn't know that ChromeBook would run Gimp. I know it uses some form of Linux, but assumed it would be too restrictive. Did you try copping over your old Gimp profile? That's what I did when I went from Gimp 2.8 to 2.10, also when I use AppImages.

You can install linux on a chromebook, I have a Bodhi linux on an Acer C720. The more usual route is using crouton see: https://www.howtogeek.com/162120/how-to ... h-crouton/ but an interesting link there for new chromebooks https://www.howtogeek.com/363331/how-to ... chrome-os/

Guessing you are using the new built in terminal ;) Gimp 2.6.18 indictes Debian 'Stretch'

I can not move the Dockable Dialogs

Does this mean dragging the tabs around? Can you open the tab properties? Is the tab locked?

Did you set Gimp up that way from the default 3 window mode? Can you get back to 3 window mode? Windows -> Single-Window mode toggles.
Can you revert to default settings? Edit -> Preferences -> Window Management -> Reset Saved Window Positions to Default Values.

Edit: Afterthought: Are you using the computer trackpad? Is the left-click-hold-and-drag working? Try pluging a regular mouse in.

Not a lot

Is that really your prefered layout?

If click-and-drag does not work, can you close a tab on one dock and open again on another dock using that menu?
