I wanted to use the ofnuts plugin "bend path" by following Esper's tutorial here:
http://gimp-science-labs.blogspot.com/2 ... ug-in.html
but I have an error message.
Before using the plugin:

You are almost there. The Envelope path should be top +bottom (haut+bas) example:

Also you might run into problems with the length of the paths. Better to have slightly longer than the text.

I started again by proceeding differently for paths (ie with "alt" to create the path) and making a larger selection as recommended by rich2005, but I do not like the beginning and the end. have tried to put the same space between the letters (as shown in Esper's tutorial):

I wanted to apply the plugin with "guides" after moving the 2 horizontal guides so that they frame the text :

but error message:

The error message tells you whats wrong: "there should be exactly two horizontal guides".

You have three....

thank you Konstantin, :wvy
I'll look for that but I just start again with the word in capital letters and by default and it seems right:

I will now look with "guides"

The error messages and the UI are there for a purpose. The UI asks for one single envelope path, so if you made your envelope with two paths you could wonder how the plugin will guess where the second path is. Likewise, when it complains about the number of guides, count the guides.

Now, if you have suggestions to make the error messages more explicit, I'm all ears.

Language barrier, perhaps ?
Is it possible to add translations to the plug-in ?

If i may give you an advice: looking at your screenshots, theres way too much going on.
So many dotted lines, guides and what looks like active selections.

First get rid of that yellow dotted line by going to View -> Show Layer Boundary.
Its also a good idea to turn everything off that you dont need, and select the bottom backgroundlayer instead of the textlayer.
Then deselect all selections. They are not needed for ofn-bend-path !

For finding the correct path: its always a good idea to give it a name that can be easily identified.
Or: right-click on the path and check "Edit Path Attributes" for the path's name that will appear in the dropdown menu.
