GIMP Version: 2.10.14
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Home 64bit
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
Nik

List any ERROR messages you received:
NA

I downloaded a new (2.10.14) Gimp a couple days ago and my Nik filters are missing in the filter menu. I checked and they are still in the plugins folder - I haven't moved them. What's up? :gaah

sallyanne, did you check the plugin folders pointers in Preferences? Not sure about your setup, but perhaps the NIKs need a specific pointer.

Yes I did. It is pointing to the plugins. I just pointed it to the Google folder and nothing changed

Different places, unless you have done something unorthodox.

The Gimp 'something.py' Nik plugins go in your Gimp profile. These use the exe files in the Google folder.

I had the same problem. To solve it, I had to reinstall the Nik Collection to my system and then point them to the correct folder which is here: Image

Thanks for your reply. My NIK filters are in my Google folder which is why I did it.

@Mackenzieh, What do you mean reinstall - do you mean move them out of Gimp plugins and then move them back? Not sure I have the original download.
I didn't think you could get them for free any more.
By the way, I rarely use any of the filter except define - can I install just that one?

I downloaded the plugins here.. post #13 from Rich2005: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16953&start=10#p233006

and then followed his steps. Then after I followed Rich's steps, opened up gimp, went to my preferences, and then pointed to the folders. Once that was done, I restarted gimp. Nik Collection should be under Filters>Nik Collection.
