I posted to 4 different threads today, replying for example to Teapot plus posting some garden photos and images. Now they are all missing. Why, what has happened.

I can't look any further past the mod control panel. I did check your last posts and saw they were all from yesterday. Can you be more specific on where you posted to Teapot?

I found this: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=18573&p=253787&hilit=teapot#p253787

Mahvin,

Teapot posted to the 'Different Effects in Gimp Text' thread, complementing my steel text and asking a question about the overlay I used. I responded with an explanation of the BRL technique. Teapot then responded with further thanks.

I posted 2 images to my 'Time for something a bit different' thread and also 2 photos to my 'Midwinter Flora' thread.

My postings to the 'Handpainted Mandalas' thread are also missing as are Teapots response.

Hope you can find out what is going on. :(

EDIT - Also the board index shows a 14 hour gap between this post and the one immediately before it ... not realistic.

Don't know what has happened. Says last post in Mid Winter Flora & was 25th July. Butterfly Brush thread is missing posts also. - last one was yesterday. Gimp Text thread last was 26th. Time for somehting different last was 26th and handpainted Mandalas last was yesterday.
I think I saw some of the missing ones too
Hopefully it was just a glitch and will not happen too often. I do not know if or how the posts can be got back either

Unfortunately, we mods only have a couple of knobs and dials we can utilize, so any missing posts are beyond our capability of recovering. Lyle and others have also mentioned missing posts. Maybe Wallace or Omega can check behind the panel and see what's going on. Sallyanne and myself, neither of us have that kind of access. Not sure what Wallace can do, either.

My thread is also gone. Puzzled now.

It was about adding icons to an open book mockup. @sallyanne tried to help me there.

Yup; just reposted the two missing threads (different wording but the previous words weren't like saged words or anything. lololol). Hopefully it was just a blip. :)

I don't know what has happened and I can't find any evidence of anything related to these posts.
They're just gone, without a trace.
I'll contact Omega about this,
to see if he can figure out/explain what's happening.

I noticed either yesterday or the day before that the two top threads swapped position then swapped back again later.

This is odd.
I have not notice anything out of the ordinary and can't find anything related these issues.

Post subject:  Re: Todays Postings Have Gone Missing

I deleted my last post in a thread and then reposted, this would account for the swapping.

Post subject:  Re: Todays Postings Have Gone Missing

That explains the swapping. Something else though. I posted links to the two versions of "Emily" in another forum and some people complained they couldn't see them. They had been given unusual addresses - longer than usual and including the word "pageseed." Now they have more normal addresses so I have reposted the link and hope that everybody can see them.

I apologize for that. There was a problem with server / DNS and unfortunately posts made that day are missing. This shouldn't happen again though.

@Omega
yes, of course things like that shouldn't happen .... unfortunately they do.
But if it happens again and you have to reset the database ... could you just drop a note here so we know and don't have to worry what's wrong? Would be very kind of you.
