GIMP Version: 2.10.18 Operating System: Windows GIMP Experience: Basic Level I found this plug-in created by Brian (animicule) which comes from a Conbagui's tutorial. This surprising works but the results aren't so good as they were. Maybe someone can repair it. ![]() I post what I have about it.

For one thing, you are missing the required fonts.... Quote: This script follows Conbagui's tutorial:
Caramel, Chocolate and Vanilla text tutorial as closely as i could. ============================================================= This script should have received in a package containing: ============================================================= Conbagui's Tutorial ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Caramel, Chocolate and Vanilla text.pdf =========================================================================================================== 4 gradients are used by the script that you must copy to your Gimp Gradients folder: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Caramel.ggr Chocolate.ggr Vanilla.ggr Vanilla-2.ggr =========================================================================================================== 2 Fonts that are used in the tutorial that you must copy to your Gimp Fonts folder: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BRUSHSCI.TTF TITANIA-REGULAR.TTF =========================================================================================================== A Gimp .xcf file to open in Gimp before running the script contains instruction/template and a completed example text layer. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BA_Conbagui_Caramel Chocolate Vanilla Text.xcf |

Hi Issabella. I wrote one of my script out of the same Conbagui's tutorial also, but only have the Caramel and the Chocolate effect. The script produce a 1600 x 712 Caramel or Chocolate text, and you have the option to create either a Caramel or a Chocolate. Conbagui used the font "Brush script MT", I used a similar but free for personal use, "ArTarumianGovazd-Italic". I uploaded the script and the free font in the same zip folder. Make sure you have it install before you run the script.

Pocholo, Thank you so much for your quick answer and your new plug-in already working so nice as it was. The results are very good. Caramel and chocolate have a nice look. ![]() ![]()

You can get similar effect using Gretchen's "Plastic or Glass" script and use whatever font you want. Attachment: caramel.jpg [ 70.96 KiB | Viewed 3920 times ] |

Thanks racer. The results are nice with both scripts. But I find that to be similar looks, in plastic script I have to remove several layers.

Those look great Issabella. I actually like the plastic version better and think it looks sweeter. |

Pocholo, I like your plugin. However, when I create my 300x500 image, it produces a larger one. Also is there a way to adjust the font size to the new image size? Using both caramel and chocolate don't look right at the same time. With Carmel and Chocolate being used at the same time, you have to move the background under the text. Here are my examples: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I never bothered to try out this plugin, because I can get the same or similar effect with "Plastic or Glass" script. I ran it once to see what the errors were, then deleted it. |

Hi Mackenzieh. Have you tried this version? viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18138&start=70#p254455 Requires LayerFX.py by Jonathan Stipe (ICCII LayerFX and LayerFX-2.10 will not be compatible). |

MareroQ, I tried it and it works. ![]() The plugin that doesn't work properly now is Pocholo's plugin. See post #8 |
