GIMP Version: 2.10 Operating System: Mac OS OS Version: Mac OSX 11.1 Big Sur GIMP Experience: Basic Level Hi all, I've been trying to use alpha to selection on a bit of text, but clicking on the alpha to selection option doesn't seem to do anything. This doesn't work with PNG images either. Even the default background I get upon creating a new project doesn't get a highlight around the edges. This issue only started happening recently. I've also reinstalled GIMP twice, and restarted my computer a couple of times. Nothing seems to work. |

It may be the selection is working but not showing if you have the marching ants turned off. To check this look in the View menu and make sure "Show Selection" is checked. |
