GIMP Version: 2.10.22 Operating System: Mac OS OS Version: Big Sur 11.3.1 GIMP Experience: Basic Level List any relevant plug-ins or scripts: ML Bevel Reflect List any ERROR messages you received: This Script Requires: ML Bevel Reflect 2 Plug-in Error while executing script-fu-ml-bevel-reflect-logo-alpha: Error: eval: unbound variable: plug-in-mlbevelreflect2 Hi all! I wanted to use the ML Bevel Reflect script along with the Bevel Reflect Logo plugin for Gimp 2.10 on a Mac. But when I try to use it, I get this message popup: "This Script Requires: ML Bevel Reflect 2 Plug-in" I downloaded the ML Bevel Reflect script from gimpscripts (can't post the URL on here) and I put it in ~/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.10/scripts And installed the Bevel Reflect Logo plugin from gimpscripts as well and I put it in ~/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins. And restarted Gimp, but I keep getting the error messages. Did I miss something? Or is this version maybe not compatible with Gimp 2.10 for Mac? And if so, is there maybe an alternative? Thanks in advance for the help! |

There are two versions MLBevelReflect you want version 2. The old gimpscripts is on the wayback machine. I got V2 from here: https://web.archive.org/web/20171124195 ... l-reflect/ Or I don't know if it's on Mahvin's new gimp scripts site: https://www.gimpscripts.net/ On Linux I put MLBevelReflectV2 in the plug-ins directory and bevel-reflect-logo.scm in the scripts directory. |

Thanks for the quick reply! I used the wayback-machine-link and downloaded ML Bevel Reflect (MAC-OSX). I replaced the file in ~/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins, restarted Gimp I tried it again but still got the exact same message. It is like MLBevelReflect isn't loaded at all. I checked the permissions on the MLBevelReflect file and they are okay. Is placing the MLBevelReflect file in the plug-ins folder and restarting Gimp not enough maybe? PS: I checked in Gimp -> Preferences -> Folders -> Plug-ins to see if the path to the plug-ins folder is correct and it is: /Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins |

Have you looked in menu Filters -> Map to see ML Bevel Reflect 2.0 is there. Make sure the permissions include execute. You could download the c source code from that same link and compile (on linux I used the makefile). |

I checked the permissions and they include executable, but still no luck. And as you suggested I tried to compile the c source code, but it requires libgimp (fatal error: 'libgimp/gimp.h' file not found). Not sure how to install that on a Mac. But it seems like I have a more general problem with Gimp not recognizing the plugins in the plug-ins folder? Maybe I should switch to a PC :p |
