GIMP Version: 2.10.34 (3
Operating System: Mac OS
OS Version: 13.6.1
GIMP Experience: Intermediate Level

I have very low vision and while I discovered a way to make the icons big enough to see easily, the UI is still really small font. Example when you click on the "font" tool, down below in the tool options, it says "hinting" and "color" and "justify" those are so small it's difficult to read. Is there a way to make that bigger? I found the web site where you navigate through gimp open a script with text editor, and change the gtkrc file. But that did nothing to increase the size of the font. I have searched through preferences but again nothing. Is there a way to change the font on the UI so it's easier to see? below is a screen shot of the tools menu for fonts. This is what I need to enlarge.

So if I read this correctly, there's no way to change the font size on a Mac. I have tried changing the gtkrc file but that does not increase the font. I can change the icons which is great, but need the actual words to get larger as well. To me they appear to be around 9 point font. I need something around 12-14.

Just as a test to check possibility. Unzip the attached Gimp theme, it unpacks to a folder 3-samj.

Put the 3-samj folder in your Gimp user profile, Themes folder. Some info on where it might be for MacOS here: https://www.gimp.org/tutorials/GIMPProfile/

In Gimp -> Preferences -> Themes select that theme and re-start. If you get a larger font, then modifying gtkrc should work (and MareroQ plugin maybe is writing gtkrc to the wrong place for your MacOS installation).

If it does not work, blame Apple for screwing things up ;)

I don't have a Mac but in my computer you can change the 'size' of your font overall. Once you have done that it should make it bigger in most programs.
Try this here https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/m ... e%E2%80%9D.

Thanks for the large font theme - is cool
Only problem was it changed all my new projects to greyscale.
