GIMP Version: 2.6.11 Operating System: Windows OS Version: XP - SP3 GIMP Experience: Beginner Level Hey guys, crazy ? Can I change a picture that someone wants me to make bottlecap images out of that is 72DPI to 300DPI? thanks Micki |

...heh, a lot smaller. But that can be a good thing if you have a fairly large pic and want to use it as a small pic. |

File>new>advanced options enter 300 in the provided area (resolution) and when you have the options as you wish, ok it. then open up the pic in the workspace as usual. |

this is for a image I already have..not a new i'm making...where do I open this image up and change the resolution on it? thanks |

can't you make a new file and just pop in the image you already have as file>open as layer? since the new file you made is in the proper resolution, I would assume that gimp would import the pic opened as a new layer as the proper new resolution. If not, I think you can do the conversion in your default photo program. |
