GIMP Version: 2.6.11
Operating System: Mac OS
OS Version: Mac OS X Lion
GIMP Experience: Intermediate Level

Hello, I am a Gimp fan and user. I am a former Linux (although I still love it) now a Mac user. I have a photo (see attached) that I am trying to edit. It has two very shiny light spots on my forehead. Can anyone share how (what tool etc.) I can remove the light spots? All I need is a hint or direct instruction is fine too.

Thanks in advance.

You might try the healing tool :heal , or the clone too. :clone, there are a lot of people in here that would know the best way.

I got this out of using the free select tool and copy paste and just set the opacity lower a bit.

I did mine with the smudge tool.

I selected both of the hot pixel areas with the free select tool, moved each area over to an adjacent area, and just copied each area to it's own layer. Then i set the opacity for each one. :)

The hair over the bright area to the left can be adjusted a bit also. The shine still seems to be there. It shouldn't be.
I will let you do that though.

Welcome to Gimp Chat by the way!
