Double click the middle folder.

Wait, I went back and looked at your image and see that you extracted the folder into the local GIMP plugins folder. Apparently, there is some confusion here. The idea is to extract the folder in your Downloads folder, then move the files needed for the plugin to work in GIMP, into the local plugins folder, not the entire downloaded file.

Anyway, we're here if you need us.

There is no "Heal Selection" in the plugins "Adaptive Threshold Edge Detect". Only "Resynthesize" plugin have this feature.

The file that Wallace offered is probably your closest bet. Pocholo's was for 2.10. I was a bit confused about what you were trying to do, myself. If you are after Heal Selection, go back and check Wallace's post and start from there.

OK, I'm a little confused here. You're talking about two different plugins here. If you think that you are going to find Heal selection in Adaptive Threshold Edge Detect, you're not.

Wallace, How would YOU advise I proceed with this?

"... this zip folder contain all the necessary files.
I tested it in 2.8 and it worked for me.
Attachment: Resynthesizer_v1.0-i686.zip [42.18 KiB]
Downloaded 5 times"

Right click and save the zipped file to which sub-folder on the hard drive?
Then would YOU advise I click on it and unzip?
Then, would I find where it extracts to??
Then, copy which files?
Then, save them in which sub-folder?
Then close GIMP to then re-open and look for Heal Selection under Filter>Enhance?
Thank YOU!

Eagertolearn, download the file he offers to your Downloads folder, extract it there, in Downloads. Once that is done, go to your Local GIMP plugins folder and copy all of the .py files and .exe files there. Reboot GIMP. You should find them in your Filters/Enhance folder

Hi mahvin,

That seemed to work.

Heal transparency appears in the drop down menu under Filters.

Thank you so much for your help!
