Sorry for the inconvenience. I've enabled module to optimize site (that included images) but apparently something went wrong. Is everything working fine now?

Thanks for message Wallace.

Just ran a few quick test of the pages I had problems with before in Guilloche Revisited and my own 'different' thread and the problem is still occurring both as a 'guest' reader and when logged in.

It is not consistent, sometimes the correct images appear, other times it is Erisian's avatar instead but it is persistent.

EDIT - I closed down and restarted my browser to clear out history/cache and give it a clean run; did not experience any problems. Also tried Vivaldi browser and had no problems there.

EDIT 2 - just tried again after restarting both browsers - got the Erisian avatar instead of correct images on both browsers on four threads. I give up now, I'm sure there are technicians who can work out what is happening and why..

Interesting. The site admin installs new software and one of the users avatar begins replacing other users uploaded images. But at random.
Our friend Eris was just unlucky to be the first user to trip-up the site software?
I am interested in why that avatar is now a JPG with alpha?
Go ahead open it in Gimp. That's what we do isn't it?

It's possible the site software corrupted that avatar.

This comment might have some bearing I've enabled module to optimize site (that included images)

Seem to recall the last time the site went down, it ran out space and Omega increased the storage. Lots of large images posted, might be a little tight on space again.

Everything is back to normal. I've messed up with script configuration.

You should have asked him about getting some help for you in here.

I tried changing the avatar a couple of times to an identical avatar but jpg instead of png. As it turns out, my avatar was not to blame. Thankfully it has been dealt with now, so I don't have to feel like a criminal anymore. :cool

You're good Erisian.
:bigthup

We needed a "guinea pig" and your avatar seemed like the obvious choice to me.
:hehe

I think things should be back to "normal"
(fingers crossed).

They are definitely not "normal". This site has crashed my browser (Chromium) 3 times today already. It has some bad scripts running or something...

Best practice site admin is put the site into 'maintenance mode' before changing the back end. Most sites like this use an SQL database on the Apache web server.
It looks like the database got corrupted.

But, the avatar replacing other images has been fixed hasn't it? Thats good.
