Ok, a Mac member would have to help you there. I am pretty sure the path can't be that different. Do you know where your brushes, gradients are stored?

i got my box open with the layers-Grandients

i copy the glitter just got to find out where to paste it lol

Have you got the glitter installed in your pattern folder? If so, do you see 3 glitters of the one name, or is it just one of that color?

Thats where i'm stuck i copy my glitter ,,,Well first i downloaded the glitter its in my download folder i brought it up and copy it,,from there i'm stuck don't know where to go to paste it wow i'm a real blonde huh ! lol

I bring up the glitter box i download in to my folder just stuck i have in my downloaded box as i bring it up ,,it comes up as three glitter n then a big box with the one glitter

Do you know how to take a screen shot of what it looks like.
You have to move it from your downloads to your gimp/patterns before it will show up in your gimp

ok i moved it to Gimp i just dragged it to gimp,,then it came up as a small box with the glitter in it call RBG color 3 layers

i think i'm getting it lil by lil ok to the left is three layers now frame 3 frame 2 background

ok now i have the three boxes now where do i go from there,,,n when do i add my bear to it ?

okay, once you have your bear opened into 3 transparent layers, copy background image into your first layer, #2 into your second layer and #3 into your third layer. If you turn off each layer, you should see the separate glitter in each one. If you have it in all three, then go to filters > animation > playback, click the arrow in playback to see if it worked.

ok i saw your first post,,,i do have the bear up in another box with the two bear layer ok let me try this ty so much for helping this poor girl I have hard time with having ADHD dont help

There are two ways of doing it.

1. add a background at the bottom of stack. add the text and then run the combine background script.

2. you can undo your layers down to just one, add text then dupe it twice, then add your sparkle. This way you won't have the white background.

i notice u have a diff gimp than mine i have the gimp 2.8 i think ur is so much diff let me see if i can snapshot it too

I have gimp-2.8 also...anyway, I just have mine set up differently. It changed some of the things around.
