![]() I'm a little lost for the different choices to make for the render_fillingPlus. ![]() Issabella, it would not tempt you to do a tutorial for the plugin DIEGO_Render_FillingPlus? ![]() ![]() |

Awaiting possible tut by Issa, my simple hints: - color to check: leave white if you start from a B&W drawing, as in 99% of cases - color to replace. leave gray - searching method: leave sequential - replacing method: to start leave random colours - random colours value range: only if random colours to start leave 32-254 (if you prefer light colours, them set 96-254) - palette: only if colours from palette chosen to start leave Pastels (nice IMHO), but you may choose whichever you prefer - gradient name: only if colours from gradient chosen to start leave default, but you may choose whichever you prefer - gradients name: only if random gradients chosen set a string which identify a group of existing gradients (example: abstract) - work on copy: leave Yes - remove grid: leave Yes (you will get both the outcome without the black grid and with it) - colour of the grid: leave black for B&W drawings (99% of cases) - patterns name: only if random patterns chosen set a string which identify a group of existing patterns (example: wood) |

Ella, like usual, your results are wonderful. You raise the level of outcomes. ![]() ![]() Level 10, I wrote a first guide to explain a bit about the many possibilities that Diego's filling filters offer. Diego has given even more specific possibilities. But you all know that I explain it my way. ![]()

Nidhogg:I like the 2 ![]() Issabella,in your tutorial, for the plugin "Diego_PosterizeFilling, I have to use it for" picture "(not a draw) but I'm not sure I understood the difference between" picture "and" draw "...(Google translation problem) for "picture": all that is in color and for "draw": black and white? |

Inputs for "filling" with various colours are those kind of drawings which are usually considered material for kids to "colorize". Such as: Attachment: 8bd7f73fdb30834133cc55be6a2b6b89.png [ 86.35 KiB | Viewed 1493 times ] Attachment: baby-deer-baby-deer-step-6_1_000000085107_5.jpg [ 108.47 KiB | Viewed 1493 times ] Attachment: easy-drawings1.jpg [ 117.3 KiB | Viewed 1493 times ] (these were found on internet) Characteristics: a white paper with a subject drawn using black lines, having separate white areas, each of whose is filled with a different colour. To test the filter ensure the whites and the blacks are "really" whites and blacks (corresponding to the first and the last parameters in the filter); for that you should run gimp "threshold" before calling the filter. |

These are the results of "default" filling methods: Attachment: 2nd8bd7f73fdb30834133cc55be6a2b6b89_filled-with-default-random-colours.png [ 58.35 KiB | Viewed 2458 times ] Attachment: baby-deer-baby-deer-step-6_1_000000085107_5_filled-with-random-colours-from-default-palette.jpg [ 150.88 KiB | Viewed 2458 times ] Attachment: easy-drawings1_filled-with-random-colours-from-default-gradient.jpg [ 159.21 KiB | Viewed 2458 times ] All 3 outcomes have been shown with "grid" (original black drawing lines) |

Click OK (valider). With most b/w line images the grey pixels will be removed when you have the black triangle in default position 127. If you can spot separate pixels inside the while areas, use the black triangle to get rid of them and then OK. Zoom in if you need to. |

@level_0 Issabella is using the filter "PosterizeFilling" which makes use of "FillingPlus". My suggestion for you is to follow Issabella's way: - start using FillingPlus to understand how it works - then experiment with PosterizeFilling Just a suggestion. |
