ok, im trying to print out an image. i have designed it at 185mm width and 297mm in height. im putting my image on a stick then my wife is puting it on to her mac using gimp 2.6.1 as the printer (zerox 7400) is by her computer.
when i try printing it out, it reduces the size of my image by around 20mm all the way around, and also wont print where i have designed the image to be, right to one side of page.
frustration is starting to set in!
any help would be much appreciated.
thanks :)

What have you set the "Image Print Resolution" at in Gimp?

You need to have a bleed area for printing to the edge. A number to try is 6mm larger canvas or 3mm offset depending on the printer. Printer page settings are important as well. For sure don't use "Shrink to Fit" or "Fit to Page" printer setting.
This explains page set-up quite well.

TIP: Export to PDF, the printing options are more advanced in the better PDF viewers.
