With IWarp is much faster. I get a caricature.

I tried another way, but it was more laborious and not get the same result as the post #1.

I would have to practice more ....
Maybe there's some tutorial about it. If I find it, post here.

That's a nice effect, but it looks kind of creepy to me. :scram

Not all that easy. duplicated the image, made a selection, shrunk the selection and smudged to marry original and shrunk selection.

While the result is not perfect, my Extend Layer to Image Size script can, in some cases, provide an easy way to achieve a similar effect.

Just select the part of the face that you don't want to be scaled up, increase your image canvas size, and then run "Layer->Extend to Image Size".

I believe this G'MIC preset can make this easier to do too but just way too lazy today to play. :)

Hi, Saulgoode , yes I have had your scm for about two or three years and I immediately thought of using your script as any 'warp' filter distorts the essential facial image part. However your extended colouring or image script presents basically the same problem that I had to struggle with, which is marrying the original and extended layer or my shrunk image and the original layer. Somewhere you have to blend the two image / layers and use some method of making a believable image. I chose smudge but probably a layermask and hand paint the overlaps would have been just as good or better. This was just a bit of fun.

Wallace is true, although it is part of the fun, yet the results are ghastly.
Among my friends this effect is hilarious. After seeing their tiny faces, besides frightened, they laugh a lot.

I downloaded the Saulgoode's script, and made only one attempt. (lower)

The cartoon effect is fast and easy to obtain.

Lylejk,
Your tip was great. I did a test and liked that G'MIC preset, it actually facilitates this task.
Although this example I did not give much importance to the blend. (I'm as well lazy!)
