Hi!

I have downloaded and installed GIMP 2.8 and UFraw in order to manipulate raw images and export these images to GIMP. However does the export function not work and furthermore the errror message I get does not say anything. :(
My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate.

I run GIMP and a "GIMP-UFraw" plugin under Ubuntu and here are no problems exporting from UFraw to GIMP.

Can anybody help me?

Hi gamleholm, and welcome to Gimp Chat. I moved your topic to "Gimp Help" someone will see it and possibly help you sooner with your problem this way.
It sounds like GIMP isn't finding the UFRAW plug-in install to me though. Do you get any error messages?

Thanks.
Yes I get an error message which tells me that there was an error when activating GIMP. Failed to execute helper program (invalid argument)
That is what I get

Where is UFRaw plugin installed? I believe the .exe needs to be in gimp 2 folder.
C:\Program Files\gimp 2\
Reference at UFRaw

Are you 32 or 64 bit? UFRaw for Windows is 32 bit.

My experience with UFRaw on Windows 7.
Standalone has never worked.

Gimp 2.6 UFRaw plugin worked perfectly
Gimp 2.8.x - works with some restrictions*.

*Trying to open up raw files within gimp file browser never worked but dragging&dropping raw
file into gimp would open UFRaw plugin interface and it works as intended.
