Hi all.

Just wondering if anyone out there has a tutorial on how to make a screensaver? I am at present volunteering at a non-profit they have a small college connected to them so that they can drum up some funds. I would like to make them a screensaver as I think it comes off more professional.

They can't spend the money to get a pro to do it and it will be an awesome learning curve for me.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and thanks in advance for any help I receive.

Screensaver is a software program that uses graphics. Some use still (slideshow) or moving images, some use various patterns, etc. Gimp might be useful for some of the graphics part but you'll have to be a bit more specific about what your trying to do. Do you already have screensaver software or will you make your own?

you might know this, but already set up
depending on the system you are using,
Windows has a desktop background that
you can set up to change every ten seconds,
and can be linked to any image directory on
your computer, so i set mine, to my gimp working
image storage directory. No need for screen saver.
you can see all the images you have worked on.
personalize desktop image slideshow, anything
you don't want to appear, move to a different directory.

Cheers thanks for the input. I have a background made and that is on the desktops of all the systems I have an issue when it comes to OS as they have old xp machines but think I have the funding for new systems that should run windows 8 so need to do a bit more homework on my side.

Again thanks a million for the input.
