GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

List any ERROR messages you received:
This program cannot open because msvcr100.dll is missing from your computer. Re install this program to fix the problem.

Hello! I used to have gimp before we wiped my computer. It never had any issues at all, always worked fine. Now i'm trying to re install it so I can have it again. This time I get an error. "This program cannot open because msvcr100.dll is missing from your computer. Re install this program to fix the problem."
I have tried re installing it a few times, but nothing worked. I need some help so it will work! If anyone can help that would be great. :)

Have you installed 2.8.14 without any additional plugins or features and where did you get your 2.8.14 from

I'm not really sure what version I have, I downloaded it from the official link to get it. I couldn't use the torrent, when I tried it said the file couldn't be found.

I'm pretty sure it downloaded it into my downloads folder. I open it from the task bar and I'm not sure for the last one. Is thee any downloads that will put what it says I'm missing on it?

if you downloaded the torrent file or the wrong file by mistake then delete or uninstall it, then download this file and install by clicking on it
download this Gimp-2.8.14-setup-1.exe

Your missing dll pertains to the Microsoft Visual C++ libraries. GIMP does not use them or Net.Framework to
run its program interface. This error message usually indicates a registry entry error, but in fact, gimp doesn't even make
any changes to the Windows registry (the core of the OS).
This may occur either due to a corrupt gimp installation or windows system error.
You probably need to clean up the Registry first. Try Ccleaner, it's free.

In the meantime you can download and use portable GIMP. Search this site or google for portable gimp packages

I just wasn't sure what was downloaded as there are a lot of different files on the site, but a registry clean is a good Idea
