GIMP Experience: Beginner Level

List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
wavelet denoise


Where can I find my wavelet denoise filter? I know I installed it but can't find it.

jeanniem then are you sure you installed it to a folder shown in Edit/Preferences/Folders/Pugins
Gimp can help you find plugins and scripts,
just open the Help menu and select Plug-In Browser

enter the name of the plugin or script and it will display the location

then you should check your plugins folder,also as a thought did you only just install this plugin

ok when I do a search on my computer it says it is in my plugins folder but when I open gimp it is not there

Check if the path to the plug-ins folder from your search matches the paths to plug-ins folders in Gimp Preferences.

go to Edit/Preferences/Folders/Plugins, also did you make the plugin executable?

go to http://registry.gimp.org/node/4235?page=1
copy the file " wavelet-denoise-0.2-win.zip"
just unzip and move the file to the plug-in folder
But in Windows O.S. I saw only the version 0.2 ( tha same that I have)
Somebody has the WINDOWS version 0.3 ( you can check the new slider "softness" instead of "detail")

copy the plugin inside the 32bits folder to your plugins folder then restart your Gimp
the other files do not matter, though you might like to read the PDF
