So whenever I try to open GIMP, it loads up, but there is a problem. It just stays minimized in the taskbar, whenever I right or left click it is like any other tab in the toolbar but there isn't a choice to maximize it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled GIMP and the problem still pursues. Please help because I need to make thumbnails for my YouTube videos!

Try installing Gimp-2.8.14. I think there was problems with 2.8.10, if that doesn't work I am sure someone here can help you.
