Hello!

I upgraded to 2.8.14 from 2.8.6 last night. Whilst I was working on a mask, I noticed that the magnify percents thingy looked very different. I was wondering did I install the program correctly or is it supposed to look like this?
What is the deal with the boxes with little numbers in them in front of the percentage symbol?

I had to do a reinstall to fix it: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8448

This was for 2.6 though.

Yes, it is a bug. It does look like that in Windows.

If you go to www.gimp.org and look down the page you come to

@Kattje:
This problem should be sorted-out in the next release of Gimp (version 2.8.16) which should be released in the not-too-distant-future (though quite when is not clear). In the meantime, just ignore it or try using a different Windows theme (if you're using the default "Aero" theme, try switching to "Classic").

Interesting. I'm not getting this. Try changing your GIMP theme and see if that fixes the issue. :)

I'm using the Gimp theme Aurora-Midnight, which looks like this...

I remember seeing that. I installed it soon after it was out but uninstalled and have stuck with 2.8.10 ever since.

I do however have a 2.9.1 on a USB but it is not a stable version. Which is a pity as it has G'MIC and mathmap included.
